Members of the Williamsburg Chapter, NSDAR, demonstrate their love of country through a multitude of patriotic endeavors they pursue, including:​

  • Offering support to America’s service personnel in current conflicts abroad and at home through care packages, phone cards, and other needed items.

  • Sponsoring special programs promoting the Constitution during its official celebration week of September 17–23.

  • Participating in naturalization ceremonies.

Wreaths Across America

The Williamsburg Chapter sponsored their second annual Wreaths Across America event in Cedar Grove Cemetery on December 16, 2023. Joined by active and retired military, SAR,  the George Wythe Society C.A.R., scouts, and members of the local community, wreaths were placed on 535 veteran graves in the historic cemetery. The ceremony featured Honor Guard from Langley Air Force Base, a bugler playing Taps, and Amazing Grace performed by a local vocalist.

Constitution Week

On September 17, Williamsburg Daughters participate in "Bells Across America" by ringing 3 historic bells in WIlliamsburg: the Virginia Liberty Bell in Bruton Parish Church, the Freedom Bell in First Baptist Church, and the Ceremonial Bell in William and Mary's Wren Building. 

Show Some Love-Service in Seconds

In February 2025, Soldiers at Fort Eustis and Coast Guard trainees at the Yorktown Training Center were recipients of more than 200 bags of treats and 75 cards.

Naturalization Ceremonies

The Williamsburg Chapter, NSDAR, collaborates with Colonial Williamsburg to hold naturalization ceremonies each year in Colonial Williamsburg.
